Autism Speaks, Alpha Xi Delta Listens
The Kappa Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta is excited to bring Autism Speaks to the University of Illinois campus community. As the world's largest autism advocacy organization, Autism Speaks is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, to funding research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism, and to advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Our sisters look forward to increasing autism awareness on our campus and working with Autism Speaks. With one in 68 children diagnosed with autism and no known cure, Alpha Xi Delta is committed to improving the lives of children and families affected by autism. We hope our fundraising and awareness efforts can help put one more piece of the autism puzzle in place.
This past spring semester of 2019, our chapter worked hard in putting together a grand BBQ Dinner and Football FrenXi, as the video above showcases. We had over 300 guests and 9 teams show their support for this great cause, helping us raise about $12,000 in just a couple short months! Kappa chapter could not be more grateful. We're looking forward to holding our next upcoming philanthropy event, VolXiball, this Fall.
